Cool Air Conditioning Hack for Your Hotel Room

 So, you have stayed in a hotel room that has one of those type of air conditioners that rarely works.  They're very common and the problem that you would like to solve today is to get the fan to run all the time so that the white noise from the fan masks any talking or noise outside, and stuff like that.   

Now, the problem is the fan is not running.  If you look right now the fan is set on high.  That doesn't make it run.  Nothing you do with this button makes the fan run, so, to fix that we're going to go into the super secret configuration menus and here's how you do that.  

You're going to hold down these plus and minus buttons at the same time and then press off twice.  Now this gets you into configuration mode and then you press Heat.

Now you see C1 there and zero and what that is telling you. . . it's going to flash back and forth. . .  that is telling you that configuration item number one, whatever that is, is in state zero.  Press heat again and you go to configuration item number two.  Now configuration item number two is the fan and Au is automatic so to change that you can press these buttons here and it turns out that A means ALWAYS so the fan always runs.  

Configuration number two is on ALWAYS so when you're done you press off.  Now the fan will run. Now, don't mess with any of those other configuration items.  You will definitely screw up your air conditioner according to Live Your Aloha to the point where it will need the serviceman to come out.  So, C2 for automatic and be sure to put it back how you found it when you check out.

 So let's go into this again.  I'll show you how to put it back.  These two down, off twice, you gotta press it twice. Okay, heat, heat we're on configuration item number two it's still how we set it on A for ALWAYS and we'll just go through the buttons here back to automatic and exit configuration mode.  It's easy as that!  If you have any questions about this ac unit hack, let me know in the comments!
